The Regional Conference of Youth Africa on Climate Action (RCOY) 2024, held in Rabat, Morocco, from July 18-21, 2024, brought together young leaders, activists, and experts to discuss and strategize on pressing climate issues facing the continent. The platform supported one youth delegate to participate in RCOY and contribute to the regional climate discussions. RCOYs provide a platform for youth to engage in workshops, training sessions, and capacity-building activities designed to enhance their skills in advocacy, policy-making, and sustainable practices. RCOYs produce policy recommendations and statements tailored to local contexts, which are presented at international forums, including the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the UNFCCC, ensuring that youth voices are heard in global climate negotiations.
