About (SYCP)

Somalia Youth Climate Platform (SYCP)

Somalia Youth Climate Platform (SYCP) is a hub for youth-led initiatives, enabling young somalis to tackle environmental and climate challenges. Through capacity-building, advocacy, and on-the-ground interventions, SYCP empowers youth with the knowledge and resources to drive positive change and become climate leaders that build a resilient community actively engaged in environmental stewardship and sustainable practices.

Capacity building

Organize trainings and workshops to enhance the skills and knowledge of young people in climate resilience and sustainability.

Advocacy and Campaigns

Support advocacy campaigns led by youth to drive climate action and raise awareness at local, state, and national levels.

Coordination and Collaboration

Facilitate coordination and collaboration between youth organizations, government institutions, private sectors and UN agencies.

Opportunities and Youth-Led initiatives

Create opportunities and support youth-led initiatives for accelerating climate resilient development, environmental sustainability and promoting peace in Somalia.
